This WordPress install has been customized for WakeSites. Best practice plugins and a theme (Astra) are included!
Check out the plugins in the admin menu at Plugins > Installed Plugins – you will find a selection of helpful tools for creating forms and tables, site analytics, and more. Just activate what you need.
Best practice plugins have been activated for security, optimization, and accessibility. Enter your email address at Wordfence > Dashboard to complete the Wordfence security plugin installation.
If you want to get started quickly, check out the Starter Sites available at Appearance > Astra Starter Sites. To customize Astra with your own look, go to Appearance > Customize.
Extra theme functionality is available with the Astra Pro, Astra Premium Sites, and WP Portfolio plugins. Faculty, staff, and students may download the licensed versions at software.wfu.edu.
You can always install another theme if you wish!

Comments are disabled by default in the WakeSites Starter Install since they are a significant source of spam and many sites don’t need them. To enable comments, go to Settings > Discussion in the admin menu and take a look at the options.
